Our Vision

At Hugo’s Garden, we aspire to every child being engaged, connected and seen as a precious neshamah with endless potential. We blend the proven benefits of Montessori education — independence, curiosity, focus, and a love of learning — with the beauty of Torah and mitzvos, so children grow not only as capable and confident learners, but also remain deeply rooted in their Yiddishkeit. In our nurturing environment, saying brachos, davening, celebrating chagim, and practicing middos become a natural and meaningful part of everyday life.

Our Guidance

Hugo’s Garden is privileged to be under the guidance and oversight of Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Silver, whose Torah wisdom and hashkafa shape every aspect of our program. Rabbi Silver is a respected Rav in the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem and the esteemed author of Mishpatei Shalom.

With his deep commitment to halacha and chinuch, Rabbi Silver reviews and approves our curriculum, ensuring that our educational approach is firmly rooted in Torah values. His guidance informs not only what we teach, but also how we create an environment of kedushah, warmth, and respect.

By placing our preschool under the direction of a Rav of such caliber, we ensure that every decision — from classroom practice to daily routine — reflects the highest standards of Torah and halacha, while nurturing each child to grow with simcha, confidence, and emunah.

Why Montessori?

Independence · Confidence · Joy

Montessori education empowers children to do for themselves — to make choices, solve problems, and take responsibility for their environment. With each success, they build independence, the ability to navigate the world with capability and purpose. This leads naturally to confidence: children come to trust their own abilities, feel secure in who they are, and approach challenges with courage. The outcome is joy — the deep satisfaction that comes from meaningful discovery, growth, and the freedom to learn at one’s own pace.

Children are given freedom within structure, the space to explore and follow their natural curiosity. Alongside freedom comes responsibility: care for materials, respect for others, and accountability for one’s choices. These experiences lead to growth, not only academically but also socially, emotionally, and spiritually — nurturing the whole child.
